Lego Smart Brick: An Immersive CES Experience (2026)

Uncover the Future of Play: A 15-Minute Demo of the Lego Smart Brick

Imagine stepping into a world where your Lego creations come to life, responding to your every command. That's the magic of the Lego Smart Brick, a groundbreaking innovation that took the spotlight at CES 2026. But what truly blew us away was witnessing it firsthand through the eyes of Lego designer Maarten Simons. And now, we're bringing that experience to you.

In this exclusive demo, you'll embark on a 15-minute journey through the capabilities of the Lego Smart Brick. But here's the twist: we've captured this experience using a unique camera, the Qoocam Q3 Ultra, modded for VR180 capture by Siyang Qi. This camera creates spatial stereoscopic 3D video, offering an immersive experience that you can enjoy in a headset or on a flat screen.

To dive into the demo, simply tap the video on this website or click the YouTube link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zJyxqoRxS0) while logged into your Google account. Then, open the YouTube VR app in your headset, tap your profile pic, and select the History tab. You'll find the demo there, ready to transport you into the world of interactive Lego play.

For the best visual experience, set the video resolution to its highest setting (likely 2160p) using the gear icon. We recorded and uploaded the video in 8K to ensure the highest quality, but YouTube is currently displaying it in lower resolution. We're hoping for a resolution upgrade soon!

If the video doesn't work, don't worry! You can still catch the full experience in our original Lego Smart Brick hands-on video, available on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/NXJlyDvnvHY), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/DTMZyiVjKFT/?hl=en), or TikTok (https://www.tiktok.com/@verge/video/7592452056548494605).

But here's where it gets controversial: VR180. We're curious about your thoughts. Would you like to see more VR180 content? Let us know, but be warned—the video workflow isn't as smooth as we'd hoped! Stay tuned for more immersive experiences and join the conversation in the comments.
